The Time in the Shade bass player, songwriter and sound engineer passed away at the weekend following a brief fight against cancer that was diagnosed shortly before Christmas.
Tributes to the local legend flooded into Time in the Shade’s Facebook page as news of his passing spread.
Amongst them was High Kings’ star Darren Holden, who mourned “Another legend gone”, while local singer/ songwriter Pat Comerford recalled how Mick engineered his recording of a 4-track tape Forever at his Beau Street studio: “What a lovely person and a please to have known him”.
The funeral Mass takes place this (Tuesday) morning at 12 noon at the Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
