Sinking Dunmore East needs lifebuoy

Though it is recognised as one of the most beautiful and picturesque villages in Ireland, tourism and business in Dunmore East is said to be at its lowest ebb in living memory.

Already struggling behind other fishing villages, locals fear new proposals by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine will deal a body blow to the village that may take years to recover from.DUNMORE

Battle royal to protect RTE’s Regional Studio

Business, political and education sectors in Waterford were closing ranks this week and preparing to launch a fierce offensive if it emerges that the RTE Regional Studio at City Square in Waterford city is in jeopardy as part of a major RTE restructuring programme.
