SP21S1 Pic1 Waterford United head to Co Cork on Saturday to play Cobh Ranblers in good heart  after this easy victory against Salthill Devon at the RSC on Friday last.
The bottom club were no match for the home side and when the Galway team were  reduced to ten players just before halftime the outcome was never in any doubt.
A win for the Blues this weekend will ensure a play-off place once again.
Waterford got off to a dream start as they took the lead inside five minutes when a  brilliant cross field ball from Conor Whittle picked out Kevin O’Connor out on the left  and his stunning left-footed strike from all of 25 yards flew into the top corner of the  net past a helpless Salthill Devon keeper James Keane.
The visitors were reduced to ten men on 43 minutes when midfielder Willie Enubele  received his marching orders from referee Rhona Daly after he went in late and high  on Blues player Peter White that left the match official with no choice but to reach for  the red card.
Salthill Devon defender Evan Preston Kelly pulled down Conor Meade in the area after a cross from Paul Quilty on 53 minutes and Meade hammered the resulting penalty past a helpless James Keane.
Things got even better for the Blues on 67 minutes when they added a third goal as Vinny Sullivan fed the ball into the path of Conor Meade, who squared the ball to Paul Quilty and he steered a close range right-footed shot to the comer of the net.
