PicDBilly O’Sullivan and his fellow coaches at the Waterford Kickboxing Association have been turning out some of the finest fighters in the country for over 30 years. Located on the Industrial Estate northern extension the WKA gym plays host to 300 members aged between 3 and late 30’s.

The gym is a hive of activity five nights a week and all day Saturday as the young boxers and kick boxers of the future are put through their paces. Chris Doran, Paul ‘The Lemon Drop Kid’ Lenihan and Lynne O’Shea are just some of the top kick boxers who came through WKA and the association has another couple of very promising fighters in their ranks in Dylan Moran and Séan O’Neill.

18 year old Dylan Moran has already enjoyed tremendous success and loves being involved in the sport as he explained to me when I visited the WKA gym last week.
