Brickey Rangers 0-17;  Clashmore 2-11

Clashmore and Brickey Rangers will have to do it all over again to see which of them will drop to the intermediate ranks in 2010 after their relegation final play-off finished all square at Ardmore on Saturday last.
The Brickeys looked like retaining their senior status at the break as they led by 0-11 to 1-5. Cathrach Shalloe opened the scoring for the Brickeys in the first minute of play but this point was quickly cancelled out by two from Cillian O’Keeffe and a single effort by Colm Faherty by the sixth minute.
Conor Phelan and a brace of points from Brian O’Halloran quickly followed before Brickeys hit back with five points on the trot inside a 12-minute period. Mark Shalloe hit three of them, two coming from frees and the others via the boots of Conor McGrath and Mark Scanlon.
With five minutes of the half to play, Seamus Landers was pulled down inside the large square in front of the Brickey Rangers goal and referee John Condon was left with no other option but to award a penalty which Landers himself took and planted the ball past the Clashmore netminder.
