The affable Henry de Bromhead and his team were the pride and joy of Waterford people during the Cheltenham Festival this week. Punters who travelled to Prestbury Park were heard shouting ‘Up the Deise’ as Henry welcomed his two heroes, Sizing Australia and Sizing Europe back into the winners enclosure on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Before he left his stables at Knockeen the weekend prior to the greatest show on earth, Henry admitted that his charges were “jumping well and looked great in their coats.” He also said that “as long as they all come home safe, we will be happy.”
