A wasteful Waterford United lost for the first ever time in Fahy’s Field when they crashed to Mervue United on Friday night last. This was the fourth consecutive victory for the Galway side over Waterford.
Paul O’Brien’s team did have a lot of the play but their attack which, has only netted nine goals to date in this campaign, never looked like scoring and even at this early stage of the season it would appear that winning this sub-standard league is beyond what is an extremely average team.
