Ever-embattled, the League of Ireland hasn’t had a main sponsor since eircom ended their, er, connection, so the addition of ‘Airtricity’ to its title is a welcome one. It might trip rather than roll off the tongue, but it’s certainly easier on the ear than the Pat Grace Kentucky Fried Chicken First Division of 1980s infamy.
