As we went to press, speculation was still continuing as to who won the €4m lotto prize in Tramore last week.

The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning Lotto Jackpot ticket from Saturday night’s draw (19th April) was purchased at Tramore Post Office.

A special media event was held at Tramore Post Office last Wednesday, 23 April, to announce the store as having sold the winning ticket.

The Lotto player purchased their all-important Quick Pick ticket from the Post Office, which is now worth an astounding €4,038,682, on Wednesday, 9th April.

The winning numbers for Saturday night’s Lotto draw were: 6, 18, 25, 26, 36, 43 and the Bonus was 44.

Speaking to The Munster Express, Sean Martin, Postmaster, Tramore Post Office and President of the Irish Postmasters’ Union, said they don’t know who won the €4m, “but we hope it’s a local person”.

Mr. Martin said the ticket was purchased on 9 April for several draws, and speculated that it could very well be a syndicate.

“We presume it’s a syndicate – hopefully it is, because the more who get a share of the jackpot, the better,” Mr. Martin said.

The €4m winning lottery ticket is the biggest win so far at Tramore Post Office.

Mr. Martin said they had a few big winners on the Winning Streak scratch cards and a €10,000 lottery winner, “but this is our biggest win”.

“We’re hugely delighted,” Mr. Martin said. “It’s great, it’s created a bit of a buzz [in Tramore]. We had a ‘cash call’ winner as well during the week – so, money is coming to Tramore – this is the place to be – this is the new Donnybrook of Ireland,” jested Mr. Martin.

He added: “We wish the very best for the winner and hope it brings them every happiness and success in the future. It’s a well-deserved lift for the community here in Tramore!”

Darragh O’Dwyer, spokesperson for the National Lottery, said they are still waiting for the winner to come forward.

“They’ve plenty of time – 90 days to claim their prize,” said Darragh, speaking to The Munster Express.

“It’s a great day for Tramore. This is the sixth National Lottery jackpot winner of 2025 and the 11th National Lottery millionaire in 2025.”

Darragh said Waterford appears to be on a winning streak at the moment: “There was a Daily Millions Plus winner, who won €500,000 last month. The next thing for Waterford to win is the Euromillions jackpot!”

The National Lottery is urging all players in the Tramore, Co. Waterford to check their tickets carefully and if you’re holding the winning ticket, be sure to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of your prize.
