The people you work with rank among the people you know best in life. Many working relationships, as was traditionally the case in this once great city of manufacturing, endured for several decades.
And long after the last shift was punched out, those friendships endured, the stories kept flowing (often over tea or something stronger); shared times that proved the best of times.
Working in Waterford, as I have for the past 12 years, has led me across the thresholds of many businesses, some big, some small, some family-owned, some controlled by suits an ocean or two away.
