Kilkenny-based Fine Gael front-bench heavyweight, Deputy Phil Hogan, has expressed disappointment with the alleged shift in policy by the Board of Waterford IT in the pursuit of a University for the South East.

Deputy Hogan, tipped for a senior cabinet post if Fine Gael is in government after the election, has been a long-term supporter for the establishment of a University for the South-East and he is critical of WIT’s new policy of considering a link with Cork IT.
