Ardmore got their county senior football championship campaign off to a flying start on Sunday evening last with a two point win over near neighbours Clashmore at Fraher Field.
Both sides were short a number of key players. Cathal and Johnny Hennessy did not line out for Ardmore after the brothers picked up serious injuries playing for the club’s intermediate hurlers in a championship game against An Rinn a week previously, but the winners were able to welcome back Billy Harty who had not worn the blue and white for some time in the championship prior to this game.
