A Carrick Town Councillor has questioned the wisdom of re-routing the long-touted bypass of the town by the National Roads Authority (NRA), a decision which has angered residents in seven adjoining townlands to the revised throughway.
Speaking to The Munster Express, Sylvia Cooney-Sheehan (Fianna Fáil) also queried why South Tipperary VEC was allowed to purchase “five to six acres of land” which had been sterilised for the original route.
