Wexford Youths 1; Waterford United 2
Waterford United put their three league defeats in a row well and truly behind during a superb first-half performance against Wexford Youths in Ferrycarrig Park on Friday night last.
They did, however, go back into their shell for long periods in the second half, but nevertheless did enough to take the three points, and at long last they have gone into double figures on the league table. The previous Monday they had made their exit from the EA Sports Cup in Limerick and it was vital that they arrested a slump which had seen them play without any confidence whatsoever.
