Waterford Crystal displayed great character to beat local rivals St Saviours at the complex on Sunday. During the previous two weeks they had lost out in heart breaking fashion to Ballymun in the FAI Junior Cup and to Carrick United in the Premier League and when John Paul Jacob gave the Saints the lead another bad day looked on the cards for Crystal.
Paul Quilty scored his 4th league goal of the season to give them some hope but then Trevor O’Regan regained the lead for Saviours.
Quilty scored once again to level the game for a second time and then goals from Keith Sheridan and Robbie Butler got Waterford Crystal back on the winning trail. Saviours led 2-1 at half time, but it was a completely different story in the second half.
