Waterford Crystal went into this game in St Martin’s Park with a two-point lead over Carrick United but they had to plan without their two main strikers Paul Quilty and Joe Watson.
Johnville got off to a dream start by scoring in the 3rd minute through Gary Kelly. Mitchel Casey equalised after 13 minutes and then Niall O’Toole put Crystal in front on 37 minutes. Jamie Flynn grabbed a priceless goal for Johnville on 73 minutes and from then on both sides settled for a share of the spoils.
