Waterford Crystal 0; Ferrybank 0

With so much at stake for both sides it was not surprising that chances were few and far between during the 90 minutes of play. Keith Sheridan had the best chance of the game after 78 minutes when he stepped forward to take a penalty kick after Brian Mallon had taken down Joe Watson inside the box. His spot kick struck the underside of the crossbar and bounced down on to the line.

Robbie Butler picked out Joe Watson afterwards but he shot wide. Kevin Roche had a late chance for Ferrybank but he scuffed his shot from inside the penalty area. They must now sit and wait and see if they will be relegated or if they will have to take part in a play-off situation.
