Waterford Crystal 2 Villa 1
Villa’s outside chance of winning the league more or less disappeared on Sunday morning when they lost against a Waterford Crystal team who were still reeling for the decision to award Carrick the points in the game which was abandoned the previous week. Nicky Corcoran gave Villa an early lead but on the stroke of half-time, Robbie Butler equalised for Crystal. Keith Sheridan scored what proved to be the winner 10 minutes into the second half from the penalty spot.
