New ideas abound in New Ross and in February the New Ross Musical Society will stage an Irish premiere of the Drowsy Chaperone, directed by that adventurous director Bill Stafford. It truly is a musical within a comedy set in the glamorous Twenties. Tobie Hickey will play a larger than life liver Adolpho and the dance routines are wild. Don’t let the sleepy title put you off as this will be a zinger of a show. Derek Shannon, Peggy Hussey, Ken Moroney and Peter O’Connor will add much to the fun. Put it in your diary – 28th February to 5th March.
