Dungarvan won a County Intermediate Football Final place against John Mitchels or Portlaw thanks to a four-point win over Geraldines at last Sunday’s Western Final at Fraher Field.
Playing with the aid of a strong wind in the opening half, Geraldines started well, with Kieran Cotter hitting a point inside two minutes.
The Old Boro hot back and a brace of Kenny Moore points was added to by Eoin Healy to give Dungarvan a 0-3 to 0-1 lead with 19 minutes played.
Stephen Kenefick put Geraldines back in front seven minutes from time when he hit the first goal of the game.
But the sides were to retire at the break all square after the impressive Kenny Moore kicked a point three minutes from the change of ends.
