Although there is not a real crisis just yet, the recent bad weather since the turn of the year is proving to be a real headache for both players and the management committee alike.

Fixtures are being changed from week to week, and it is extremely hard for clubs to keep interest alive when things become so fragmented.

Hopefully this coming weekend will see all games played. In the Munster Cup, Tramore are due to play Connolly Celtic from Cork in Graun Park on Sunday at 2pm. Villa are due to host Carrick United also in the MFA Cup at 11am but it looks likely that game will be switched to Ozier Park.

In the Waterford Premier League, Southend United are due to welcome the leaders Bohemians to Southend Park. Waterford Crystal are snapping at the heels of Bohs and they will play at home to a Johnville team who are trying to get away from the bottom of the table.

St Saviour’s are very much in the title race also and they will fancy their chances in Ballybeg against a Ferrybank side who are beginning to be cut off down at the wrong end of the table. The three league games are down for 11am kick-offs.
