Following their exciting 6th round away win in Co Kerry against Killarney Celtic two weeks ago, the Waterford Premier League champions Carrick will have to travel to Dublin to play Trinity Corinthians on Saturday, February 2nd.

The Dublin club are based in Santry Avenue and they play their games on a Saturday in the United Churches League, a league which includes teams such as Terenue FC. St Mary’s Boys, St Judes, Strand United and Springbank F.C.

The United Churches League is not by any means the strongest league in Dublin and Carrick United will be confident of booking a place in the last eight of the competition. Slowly but surely, the Carrick side are improving with every game and they will fancy their chances of making the quarter-final, and in doing so keep Waterford’s interest alive in the competition following the home defeat for Dungarvan United against Millford in the last round.
