Hibernians are almost back in the Premier League following another victory on Sunday last. They defeated St Joseph’s 2-0 thanks to goals from Michael Frisby who found the net following a free-kick taken by Joey Phelan. Phelan was then fouled inside the box and Derek O’Keeffe netted from the penalty spot.

This was their 12th victory from 13 games played. They drew the other!

De La Salle who were in second place, a massive 12 points behind Hibs, were beaten 2-1 by Southend United. Kilmacthomas, the third placed team were held to a 2-2 draw by St Otteran’s. Bottom club, Bolton defeated Tramore Rangers 5-0, but they remain rooted to the end because of the point gained by St Otteran’s.

Two more victories will guarantee Hibernians their place back in the Premier League once again.
