Johnville lost out to Grannagh once again in cup football. This was the second time in two seasons that the First Division side defeated the Premier League outfit. Mark Walsh, Johnny Kelly (2) and Ian Walsh scored for Grannagh. Valdo Bulvas netted for Johnville, who had the advantage of St Martin’s Park.
Villa defeated Hibernians in an all-Premier League clash. Conor Mullane, Des Mullett and Conor McDonald (penalty) were the Villa net-finders. David McGrath scored two goals for Hibs.
Bohemians easily accounted for Ballinroad. Shane Nolan and Kevin Whittle scored a brace apiece. Gerry Connors also chipped in with a goal.
De La Salle scored six without reply against Bolton. Philip Blake (2) Ricky Kempton, Paul Power, Paul Brennan and David McGrath were the marksmen for DLS.
