Tramore Rangers travelled to Cappoquin on Friday night and they won a thrilling match on penalties after extra time. The West Waterford-East Cork League outfit and the men from The Orchard shared six goals, with Rangers striker Stephen Dunphy netting a superb hat-trick only to see his side pegged back each time they went in front. Ultimately, with Stephen O’Gorman scoring the decisive spot kick, the seasiders returned to Tramore with a place in the competition proper.

St Otteran’s were no match for Kilmacow at The Hospital Grounds. Robert McKenna (2), Nick Owens, Trevor Egan and Niall Tyler scored for the South Kilkenny men. Eamon Morrissey got the goal for an out-of-sorts Saints.
