Metallica have been almost annual visitors to Ireland over the last decade, where there seems to be no let up in demand for the heaviest & hardest Rock Band on the planet. They played sold out gigs at Marley Park in 2008 and 2009, and have just completed a couple of amazing arena shows at The Odyssey in Belfast. The release of their last album “Death Magnetic”, (their biggest album in almost 2 decades), brought the band’s worldwide album sales up to 100 million! Ireland’s Metallitia have earned their reputation as the best Metallica tribute band in Europe, and have built up a loyal following with Waterford’s Hard Rock heads. The lads now take to the BIG stage at The Forum on Saturday 10th July for a Traffik Live special. Doors are at 11pm and admission is just €5 before midnight and €10 after.

The lads had their best ever year in 2009, winning the national “Scrap Metal” rock tribute band award which was judged by Brian Robertson (Thin Lizzy) and Biff Bifford (Saxon). This resulted in Metallitia headlining the “Glastonbudget” festival in the UK in May to a crowd of 20,000. Metallitia will continue to infect peoples’ minds with all things Metallica. If you are in any doubt then just come down to The Forum, crack open a beer and let the metal do the talking.
