Waterford made it two wins in six days when defeating Tipperary at the Holy Cross/Ballycahill Club grounds to mark the official opening of a new club centre which honours Tipperary great John Doyle.
Both sides fielded strong outfits on a windy evening in mid-Tipp, with Waterford’s line-up possibly closer in composition to what their Championship team will look like come June 12th.
It was another evening of positives for Deise manager Davy Fitzgerald. For Waterford, substitute Shane Walsh was once again in fine form, hitting 1-2, while John Mullane (wearing number 5!) also looked fit and eager after his introduction.
