Eleanor McEvoy walked out onto the theatre Royal stage which was laid out to replicate her last CD cover, like a seashore for I’d Rather Go Blonde. And in a solo set, played keyboards, acoustic and electric guitar, zipped up a fiddle or two and even played two boxes of matches, to show why she can still turn out a great song but most of all, can entertain.

A Woman’s Heart made her a big star and possibly her star has dimmed a little, she still tunes up and shares a rattling good gig. There’s more to this woman than attitude and a Cabra accent.
