The Waterford born playwright Teresa Deevy who had a string of her plays performed in the 1930’s at the Abbey Theatre is having an amazing revival and interest in her work. Last year, the Mint Theatre in New York staged her 1940 play Wife To James Whelan, when the script was found in a suitcase of theatre memorabilia. The success and surprise of this caused Charm Offensive, a new and exciting theatre company run by director Gavin McAlinden to decide to put this play on in the new Diorama Theatre in London in April.
