Many theatre groups are put off doing costume classics due to the cost and difficulty of such work but it is to Brewery Lane Theatre’s credit that they undertook such a comedy of manners in Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest and despite poor footwear choices, trousers without braces and an awful Canon costume, pleased and entertained capacity audiences.
