A standing ovation was well justified for Watergate productions in-house staging of Ken Bourke’s Wild Harvest as Gerry Cody, directed a strong cast to give new life and topical meaning to a play that grew out of the 1980’s recession.

Mick Lally starred in the original Druid production, of a play rooted in a rural and farming tradition that touched on childlessness, place of women on farms, youth boredom, handing over of farms, unemployment, the home away from the land to emigration and dreams of a better life.
