Clare 2-18;  Waterford 2-19

Waterford are just 70 minutes away from retaining the Waterford Crystal Cup after they overcame the challenge of Clare at Sixmilebridge on Sunday afternoon last by the smallest possible margin.
Coming back from 11 points down at the break, Davy Fitzgerald’s men demonstrated fantastic resolve to pluck victory from what appeared an inevitable defeat against the Banner.
Waterford began brightly and within five minutes of the throw-in led by 0-4 to 0-1. However, the hosts hit back any by the mid-point of the opening half the sides were level, despite the Deise producing the better hurling.
However, from that point on ‘til half-time, things began to fall apart for Waterford.
