Tallow 1-15 Lismore 0-16

In the eyes of many, Tallow travelled to Fraher Field on Saturday evening last more in hope than in expectation.
But as the night drew in, they returned west victorious following a late victory over a fancied Lismore unit, whose wait for a senior crown now extends into a 20th year.
In total, the sides were level on no less than 11 occasions, and when extra-time looked inevitable, a late, late goal – the only such score of the game, turned the tide in Tallow’s favour.
Kevin Curley gave Tallow and early lead but the hugely impressive Maurice Shanahan hit back with a brace of scores to give Lismore a one-point lead after four minutes.
