Ballynanty Rovers of Limerick defeated Villa 2-1 on a breezy day in Limerick. Ballynanty who play on a pitch just behind Thomond Park dominated the first half against a Villa outfit who did not perform well during the opening 45 minutes and the host club went in at the interval 1-0 up.
Pascal Keane’s men came out for the second period in a determined mood and it cam as no surprise when Des Mullett headed home a cross from Conor McDonald on 67 minutes to level matters but with 10 minutes remaining Ballynanty scored what proved to be the winning goal.
