A MAJOR plan is underway to resist plans to erect 45-metre high pylons across the County Waterford landcape.
More than 200 people attended a public meeting in Kilmacthomas on Thursday last to challenge EirGrid’s Grid Link project.
The meeting, which was scheduled to take place in the Kilmacthomas Business Centre was switched to the Rainbow Hall in the village in order to accommodate the huge crowd in attendance.
Plans have already been made to hold a major protest march against the project in Dungarvan next month.
