Stradbally guaranteed themselves top spot in Group 3 of the Senior Football Championship in convincing fashion when they swept past Tramore at Kill on Saturday evening.

Despite being forced to play without injured county stars, Ger Power (knee) and Tony Grey (back), the result was never in doubt and Stradbally now go straight into the Quarter-Finals and who would bet against them adding to their impressive roll of honour.

Tramore themselves were missing several regulars including Under 21 stars Dan Goggin and Dayne Ormonde and county star Paul Ogle who is likely to be sidelined for the rest of the season with a knee injury. In the end, Tramore missed their absent colleagues more than Stradbally did.
