Cork City took the spoils in an entertaining Munster derby with a 2-1 win against Waterford United in the RSC on Friday night. The Blues did not perform well during the opening 45 minutes, but they dominated the entire second half. However, it was during that period that the visitors scored what proved to be their winning goal.
It was a hard pill to swallow for the players and indeed the supporters of Waterford, but at least the team did show glimpses of improvement and they could still get involved in the promotion race.
