De La Salle and Waterford hurler John Mullane was crowned the overall winner of the WLRfm/Granville Hotel GAA Awards in a glittering ceremony last Friday night.
In truth, Mullane was a thoroughly deserving winner; outstanding in the blue and white of Waterford as they picked up a fourth Munster title while also leading his club to county and provincial honours.
The other nine monthly award winners were: Dungarvan CBS, Eoin Kelly, Shane Briggs, Tommy Prendergast, Declan Prendergast, Tony Browne, Waterford’s Tony Forristal Tournament winning hurlers, Gráinne Kenneally and Kevin Moran.
