Waterford are through to the semi-final of the Munster Senior Football Championship after an extremely hard-fought encounter with Clare in Fraher Field last Sunday. The Bannermen came into this game anxious to make amends for the nine-point drubbing they received by Waterford in the National League back in April and a repeat scoreline never looked on the cards.
Clare got off to a flying start when big midfielder Gary Brennan gained possession straight from the throw-in and waltzed straight through the heart of the Waterford defence before tapping over the opening score.
