A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of a man who failed to appear in court last week.
Abdulsalam Atiat (27) with an address at Birchwood House, Ballytruckle Road, Waterford, is accused of alleged assault, contrary to Section 3 (1) and (2) of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997, at Birchwood House, Old Tramore Road, on 15 July 2025.
The defendant was represented by solicitor Kenneth Cunningham, who said he had “no explanation” for his client’s non-appearance.
Judge Miriam Walsh noted the accused’s absence from last week’s Waterford District Court and issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
