Honored: Anne Marie Caulfield

Waterford-based Anne Marie Caulfield has been named as one of the country’s top four entrepreneurs at the annual WXN Top 25 Awards, an event which honours Ireland’s top 25 business women.
Twenty-five women were named as Ireland’s most powerful in categories ranging from corporate executives in the biggest firms in the country and entrepreneurs, to public sector leaders and top figures in arts and culture.
“I am honoured and somewhat amazed to be among the Women’s Executive Network Ireland’s 25 Most Powerful Women,” said Anne Marie.
“The Award celebrates female leaders within the business and wider community. It is a privilege to be amongst these incredible women and to be recognised in the Entrepreneur category.”
Anne Marie is an owner and director of Caulfield McCarthy Group Retail Limited is a graduate of NUI Galway where she obtained an Arts Degree and subsequently a Law Degree.
A lawyer by profession Anne Marie qualified and practiced in the UK for a number of years. In addition to her legal background Anne Marie also specialises in Human Resources and Industrial Relations.
In her role as Owner/Director of the group Anne Marie acts as in house legal counsel and spends significant time managing the company’s property portfolio which includes three shopping centres located in Waterford, Kilkenny and Bandon, West Cork.
Anne Marie is also currently President of Rotary Club of Waterford, a past President of Waterford Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Waterford Chamber of Commerce Retail Committee, past President of IBEC South East region, Chairperson of Theatre Royal Waterford, a member of the Governing Authority of Waterford Institute of Technology. Anne Marie was awarded Retail Business Woman of the Year in 2005.
In 2011 and in recognition of her contribution to Waterford City and its development Anne Marie was made an Ambassador of Waterford City by the then Mayor and Waterford City Council.
