The long-touted Neighbourhood Centre at Carrickphierish, an integral element of the development of the north-west suburb, has been finally green-lit by Waterford City Council planners.
However, given the 10-year planning permission that Leebury Developments has been granted for the site, work is unlikely to commence any time soon.
With 30 separate planning conditions attached, the way is now clear (between now and 2021 that is) to construct a mixed use development consisting of retail, residential, medical and social provision.
