Presidential candidate Sean Gallagher wishes to replicate Mary McAleese’s success in the peace process for small businesses and community enterprises across the country.
Speaking to The Munster Express at an Irish Association of Supported Employment (of which he is patron) awards function in Waterford on Friday last, the ‘Dragon’s Den’ personality laid out the central message of his campaign.
“I want to do, in simple terms, for enterprise and job creation, what Mary McAleese has done for the peace process,” said Mr Gallagher at Dooley’s Hotel.
It is sad to see that the Irish Presidential election campaign has become such a total farce. Have we not learned anything from recent history and the type of people who talk such a load of hype?
Sean Gallagher is the only candidate capable of filling the position of President of Ireland. He is a self-made person and businessman. He knows what it takes to achieve and I firmly believe he can do it for Ireland at this critical time in the history of Éire. He needs to clearly divorce himself from all other political persuasions.
David Norris cannot be President because of self-confessed underhand actions, which he only admitted to when pressurised. Polls are a joke perpetrated by the media!
Michael D Higgins cannot be President because of his well-expressed views on the USA, Ireland’s prime employer. He would jeopardise the lot in a jiffy.
Martin McGuinness cannot be president because he is the First Minister in Northern Ireland. If he really cared would he abandon the position at such a critical time and insult Unionist colleagues? His history is very questionable and must be logically addressed by the electorate.
The remaining candidates simply do not have what it takes.
