A man was forced to make a 461-kilometre round trip from Donegal to Dungarvan to be told in court that a parking offence had been dropped against him.
Speaking to The Munster Express, engineer Michael MacNamara couldn’t conceal his fury with Dungarvan Town Council regarding a parking fine which he stated should never have been issued to him.
“Last January I parked, as is my custom when visiting Dungarvan, on Davitt’s Quay just around the corner from Meagher Street,” he said.
