Sub-contractors working on two major local authority schemes in West Waterford are on the brink of ruin because they have not been paid by the main contractor, last week’s meeting of Waterford Co Council was told.
The main contractor has been fully paid by the Council for all “certified work” and only a small amount of work totalling €25,000 remained uncertified, said Director of Services Michael Quinn.
