N20S4PicWith so much talk about the City and County’s plans for the North Wharf, readers may like to see this photograph of the Ferrybank Promenade, taken circa the mid 1960s, before it was developed into the Bell Lines terminal.
People regularly strolled the Prom, especially in the evenings, and, for many years, swans nested in the rushes. There was also vehicular access along the Promenade to the gates of Waterford Boat Club, the iconic building that stood for many years opposite the Adelphi Wharf.
