This week as Christmas beckons, we look to other cultures around the world to see how they celebrate this Mid-Winter Christian festival. I thought I would visit the native shores and customs associated with Finland and India for starters as they are the native countries of two men who have become so influential in the affairs of the Republic of Ireland. I speak, of course of Commissioner Olli Rehn of Finland and Ajai Chopra of India. They now are wedded to the fortunes this country of ours- for richer, for poorer, in sickness are in health till debt do us part!
