Tramore Garda station is appealing for information about burglaries in the Tramore area dating from the end of December and on into the New Year.
“The burglaries began in the latter end of last year and have continued on into the first week of this year” explained Sergeant Michael Whelan. They are following several lines of inquiry, but require more information about the incidents.
“There has been between 15 to 20 burglaries in the Tramore town area,” Sgt Whelan added. He advises that people report any suspicious activities in their area, be it an unknown car or a suspicious person over the last few weeks or more recently. 2No matter how trivial it may appear to be, it should be called in and we will investigate” stated Sergeant Whelan.
He also appealed that residents look out for their neighbours during the dark evenings. “If you know there’s someone living on their own, an unoccupied house or neighbours gone on holidays, keep watch,” he added.
