A man was recently handed a court fine for driving without a seatbelt in Waterford.
Cristian Ionel Rizea (40) with an address at Apartment 3, Block 2 Osman House, Anne Street, Waterford, was fined €250 by Judge Miriam Walsh at a recent sitting of Waterford District Court, for failing to pay a fixed charge penalty notice, which was issued after Gardaí observed him driving without wearing a seatbelt at Cannon Street, Waterford on 23 April, 2025. It was highlighted in court the defendant has no previous convictions.
Judge Walsh noted the accused’s absence from court while handing down the fine.
