Waterford Crystal 2; St Saviours 1

Second placed St Saviours failed to make ground on the leaders Tramore when they lost to Waterford Crystal on Sunday morning. With the Seasiders dropping two home points the previous night, the Saints cold have closed the gap to five points but instead Tramore have now stretched their advantage to eight points.

All of the goals in this match were scored from the penalty spot. Keith Sheridan gave Crystal the lead after 19 minutes when Paul Quilty was hauled down by goalkeeper Graham Cleary following a through ball from Dean Rochford.

Sheridan was on the mark once again from the spot on 52 minutes when John Paul Jacob fouled Diarmuid Delehunty. St Saviours scored from the penalty spot 4 minutes into injury time. Mitchel Casey handled inside the box and Stephen Dalton netted his 5th goal of the current league campaign.
